Pipeline 5

We’re not activists, but as a brewery and as residents of Chicago we depend on Lake Michigan for personal and professional purposes. We recently got together with Hop Head Farms and The Hopleaf to brew a beer for Chicago Craft Beer Week, a pale ale we’re calling Pipeline 5.

The ingredients for this beer came entirely from Michigan, and after being made aware of Line 5, a 645-mile petroleum pipeline that moves nearly 23 million gallons of oil daily in the Straits of Mackinac, we thought people should know about the issue. You can read more about it here.
