A collaborative beverage with our buds @darkmattercoffee.
Together we selected a variety called San Antonio from Columbia, which Dark Matter brewed for us on the equipment they use to make Chocolate City. We added liquid coffee at 5% by volume into a beer brewed with Marris Otter and flaked oats plus light additions of East Kent Golding, Tradition, and Tettnang. The resulting beer has lots of body but remains smooth, with flavors of coffee, cocoa, caramel, and bread in the forefront. Nutty with mild fruit undertones ~ reminiscent of mocha and marzipan.
